DMCA & Copyright Policy
How to report copyright infringement, what happens after a report, and your right to counter-notice.
1. Our Commitment to Copyright
InviteFree respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our service to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (the "DMCA"), we will respond promptly to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the requirements set out below.
2. What InviteFree Hosts
InviteFree allows users (hosts) to create digital event invitations using our templates. Hosts may upload limited content (event titles, messages, guest information). All invitation template designs, illustrations, typography, and platform code are owned by InviteFree or its licensors. User-generated content is the responsibility of the user who submits it.
3. Reporting Copyright Infringement (DMCA Takedown Notice)
If you believe that content hosted on InviteFree infringes your copyright, please send a written notice containing all of the following information:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- A description of where the allegedly infringing material is located on InviteFree, including the URL of the specific event page or template.
- Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement made under penalty of perjury that the information in the notice is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.
Send your notice by email with the subject line "DMCA Takedown Notice" to:
Email: jimmygen2024@gmail.com
4. What Happens After You Submit a Notice
Once we receive a properly completed DMCA notice, we will:
- Acknowledge receipt of your notice, typically within two business days
- Review the notice for completeness and good faith
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material if the notice is valid
- Notify the user who posted the material that we have removed or disabled access to it
- Inform them of their right to file a counter-notice
5. Counter-Notice Procedure
If you are a user of InviteFree whose content has been removed in response to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was the result of mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice. Your counter-notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- A description of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before it was removed (URL).
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal court in the district where your address is located (or, if your address is outside the United States, the jurisdiction of any U.S. judicial district in which InviteFree may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notice.
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will forward a copy to the original complaining party. If they do not notify us within ten business days that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity, we may restore the removed material.
6. Repeat Infringer Policy
It is InviteFree's policy, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, to disable and terminate the access of users who repeatedly infringe copyright. Multiple valid DMCA notices against the same user's content may result in immediate and permanent termination of access to InviteFree, deletion of all events created by that user, and a ban on creating new events.
7. False Claims and Misuse
Submitting a knowingly false or fraudulent DMCA notice is a federal offense under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f) and may result in significant legal liability. Please consider whether your concern is genuinely a copyright issue (versus a trademark, contract, or other issue) before submitting a DMCA notice. For non-copyright disputes, please use our general contact form.
8. Trademark and Other Concerns
This policy specifically covers copyright. For trademark concerns, privacy concerns, or other content issues that do not involve copyright, please email jimmygen2024@gmail.com with a clear subject line describing the nature of the concern.
9. Changes to This Policy
InviteFree may update this DMCA Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
